Sayani Ghosh condemns Kasba lathi-charge on sacked candidates, urges police to act humanely | Watch

Trinamool Congress MP Sayani Ghosh has questioned the police lathi-charge on jobless candidates protesting in Kolkata’s Kasba area. She said such incidents “should not happen” and called the police action unjustified under any circumstance.

Ghosh stated the protestors were “qualified candidates” who lost their livelihood and became “victims of Left and BJP politics.” She urged the police to adopt a more “humane approach” in handling such situations.
